Hakata — Downtown Fukuoka

Hakata is the central ward of Fukuoka City and the heart of all Kyushu travel logistics. Hakata Station is the Shinkansen and bus gateway. This is also where Hakata-style tonkotsu ramen was born, where Yatai street stalls light up after dark, and where most travelers base themselves for the wider Kyushu region.
