Akiyoshidai — Japan's Largest Karst & Cave
Akiyoshidai in central Yamaguchi is the largest karst plateau in Japan — a rolling green landscape dotted with white limestone pinnacles. Underneath is Akiyoshido Cave, Japan's longest at over 10km of explored passages; 1km is open to the public as a year-round 17°C walking tour through underground rivers, terraced pools, and stalactite chambers.
